Aliasing youkai → yokai

Reason:

OR vice versa. Same word with the same meaning, just two different yet common spellings. I recommend the topic's alias personally since it seems to be the most popular common spelling from what I've seen, though this might just be a personal view on my part, hence the reverse alias suggestion

HOWEVER it might be better to alias it to its actual spelling with the accented o (ō), like we do with the aliases involving pokemon and its accented e (é), AKA: youkai AND youkai are aliased to yōkai.

1 Depends on which spelling/version/etc the general public agrees to use

2 Since shishi dogs implicate this, I see no reason as to why komainu shouldn't do the same. They're essentially another version of the guardian lion/foo dog. (Not yokai/youkai/yōkai related, but it is Japanese and Chinese culture related, so I put this one here). Not sure if they should technically count as yokai, but if they do count in a technical sense then have it implicate yokai/youkai/yōkai as well.

Yep, other way around. Yokai is misspelled, whereas youkai, yo-kai, and yōkai are all valid romanizations.

I would be pleased either way tbh. Just wasn't sure which was the proper spelling of the term.

+1 to this. huh, i wonder if they pronounce youtube as yo-tube in china or other eastern countries since the u is sometimes silent like in the word youkai.

Regardingd foo dog and shishi dog, they probably should be aliased away. I as about to suggest this myself after searching and founding no actual difference between those; apparently they are more like regional names for the same creature in China, Korea and Japan (Okinawa province).
Specifically about komainu, I am not sure about what course of action to take. Despite of it being a synonym of foo dog (the only difference is that they appear in pairs) the tag itself is exclusively used for komane & komiger (from yo-kai watch) and the character shibasaki saki; the two former have their appearence more based on cats and the latter doesn't resemble komainu at all.

I am not sure about implying species to mythology tags, apparently there is no precedents.

Bumping this; was about to suggest this again.

The yōkai, yo-kai, yokai, and youkai tags still all serve the same purpose yet are not aliased to a single tag. I suggest they all be aliased to "yōkai".

In that case, we still have some other viable alias options (yo-kai, youkai, etc), so that'd be no problem if this was an issue; we'd just alias to one of those instead.
