Topic: Tag Alias: butt_growth, butt_inflation -> butt_expansion

Aliasing butt_growth and butt_inflation → butt_expansion
Link to alias

Reason:

Butt_growth (32), butt_inflation (3), and butt_expansion (237) are all different tags, despite being essentially the same thing. Butt_expansion has more posts than the other two along with an existing wiki page.

Using another body part as an example, breast_growth and breast_inflation have both been aliased to breast_expansion.

EDIT: The tag alias butt_growth_butt_inflation -> butt_expansion (forum #260202) has been rejected by @Rainbow_Dash.

I'm against aliasing them, but they do need some work.
Those three groups are very messy at the moment, and I'm unsure about the difference between *_expansion and *_inflation. The latter is generally for 'being inflated by something, such as air'. Which doesn't often apply directly to the body parts.

In many cases *_growth is used for growing totally new parts during transformation. Tags such as tail_growth are notable for that. And we do need tags for that concept, so I think that group should be pruned down to growing new parts. Whereas existing body parts swelling would go under *_expansion.

'course, that'd leave tags such as butt_growth largely empty. Though I'm sure there's at least couple of posts where some creature with no butt grows one out of nowhere.

Breast_growth should be unaliased, since there's currently no tag that can be used for characters growing breasts. gender_transformation breasts mtf_transformation covers it partly, but there are other instances that can't be tagged. Such as breastless females (scalies and such) using magic to grow breasts, etc.

Good point! I think the difference between inflation and expansion is that inflation involves something or someone actively pumping air, water, etc. into a character, whereas expansion doesn't need to be as defined.

Having the growth tags be limited to growing new parts is a great idea. It might throw some people off since I don't think "penis expansion", for example, is a very widely used term, but as long as there are clear definitions, it should be fine.
