My only concern would be if there's a giant fan. post #173662 is the only exception I could find for this.

war_fan -> weapon

Nah, box fans are a type of mechanical fans. They shouldn't imply straight to fan, but to mechanical.
If you were trying to say uchiwa should be under hand fan... That's what the OP is suggesting.

I'm saying that mechanical_fan tag is unnecessary if the fan hierarchy is made the way I proposed.

Fan would probably get clogged up again, as many people tag fan for fan characters. Fan's already disambiguated
