do we really need magnetic tape tag..? would anyone use it for searching or blacklisting?

-1. I'd say that unless the ribbon is flying out like in cartoons when you pull out an ancient cassette tape, it's not worth tagging it.

A disambiguation page is planned for the tape tag and I wanted to create a tag that contains all tags about media tapes.

How about replacing cassette_tape and video_tape with audio_cassette and video_cassette, respectively, and implicate the latter ones to cassette?

Edit: Apparently the video_cassette tag is already a thing.

Okay, so I did what I suggested in my previous post, since the actual tape of the cassettes is never shown in the posts, and changed the original post to match the new tags.

Just curious, do we really need multiple tags? The tags themselves are quite small (~20 in total), it might be better to simply group them all into one tag, something like "tape_cassette" or simply just "cassette" as mentioned (not quite as descriptive but I doubt we'll get much of other types of cassettes, e.g. sprocket cassettes etc). I'm all for neat tagging structures but there doesn't seem to be that much content to structure in the first place. But I could go for just implicating to cassette and a few aliases.

I'm with Chessax on the tag not being important enough for multiple versions.
Do you guys want all _casette tags under one? And what would you vote the umbrella tag to be: cassette (shorter) or tape_casette (clearer)?

If we aren't going to imply, just manually add the group tag, and keep the old tags just in case.

Yes, that sounds like a good idea. I vote for tape_cassette.
