implicate it to child instead since child tag is for 3-12 years old characters.

Because you added that to the wiki. :/
(not that I'm against it)

I think most people are inclined to tag 0-12 as child, but I know it also depends on your age (To a 55 year old, a 22 year old might seem like a child).

I ain't been tagging child as 'em all. I know the difference between an infant and a child, but what is more important is: do we tag all Cubs with shota/loli, or do we leave those tags for humans? If so, that's gonna be a tagging project..

Cub can be shota/loli. Official answer.

This is probably the stupidest thing to ever have been typed out of me, but: what about the non-sexualized depictions? And, also, do we have a tag for intersex children?

I always think of Shota/Loli here as being "Looks youthful but mature at the same time," though I guess such a definition would be subjective at best.

I don't really see a reason to tag those with loli/shota to begin with, but that's just me.

No. That's one of the reasons why loli/shota don't imply male or female.

but loli means young girl
and shota means young boy
So it does imply male and female.

I mean there isn't an implication set, that is, when you tag loli it doesn't automatically add female.

Are you sure this is a good idea?
Many already have trouble tagging child/teenager, because it's hard to measure age from drawn images. Especially when the characters are non-humans. Which is why those age categories (3-12 for child, 13-19 for teenager) were so broad.
Looking at what's currently tagged as preteen, many of them look clearly younger than ten to me, or older than 12. And some seem like late teens or adults, such as post #14124..

It needed a definition, and that seemed to be the most common age range.

Do you have an alternative suggestion? The age categories seem appropriate to me. As for inconsistent tagging, lots of tags have that problem. post #14124 in particular seems like it should be teenager, based on face, body, and (to a lesser extent) posture.

The child/teenager/adult split already causes frequent tag wars, even some that escalate so badly that the admins have to be called in. So I think it'd be better to alias preteen away, since it'd just complicate things further.
Which is what I suggested in forum #189428 a while back.
