Topic: Waiting for available socket

Posted under General

So over the last couple of weeks or so, I've been getting this strange problem where when I open list of new posts on e621 or when I search for something, it sometimes doesn't load all the thumbnails, gives me 'waiting for available socket' in the status bar, and takes as long as five to ten minutes to fully load the page. I mentioned it before and was told by parasprite that a temporary solution was to flush the google socket pools, which I did. True enough it solved it but only for a while and inevitably it comes back. The strange thing is that I only get this problem with e621. Does anyone know a more permanent solution besides changing browsers?

Change browsers. Screw Chrome. Go Firefox. It's the closest you'll ever have to the awesomeness that is Opera 12, which is slowly being phased out by other websites in favor of the more standardized versions of Operas 15-(I-Don't-Even-Fucking-Know-Anymore-But-It-Still-Doesn't-Have-Tab-Stacking-Like-Opera-12-Did).

On further review, they are up to Opera 33. As I presumed, still no tab stacking. I'm getting to the point where I'll be resuming using Firefox's Tab Group system and never look back. Tab stacking should've been Opera's second priority, after getting the browser to actually work.
