I recently came across an image that was flagged for removal because it's artist was on the "avoid posting" list. I was just wondering, for what reason are certain artists pictures not allowed on the site? I'm not opposed to it, just curious. oh, and this is my first forum post btw, so, hello!

Under most (maybe all?) circumstances it is because they requested to be placed on that list. So yeah, simply put, if a person does not want their art on e621, they can request to be placed on the Avoid Posting list. The reasons that someone might do this are quite varied.

Artists who are on the avoid posting list are ones that specifically asked to not be uploaded here.

All of them have requested to be put on that list. Their reasons vary (Some don't like this site, some don't like our tagging rules, some don't like the extra exposure, some just don't like this site in general, etc.)
