I do try to improve things. I'm registered to vote, for instance. And yes, the US is better than a lot of countries, but that doesn't somehow make them immune from criticism. Again, that's just whataboutism.

    As someone who now lives in Puerto Rico where everything is shit, I have to disagree. People really have to learn to have humility and be thankful for the rights you have. Be thankful that your weird somewhat atheistic satanic "religion" doesn't get fucked by the government (As it would in most places)

    If the subject is really urged to be changed apperance and recognition, he/she may try to be recognized as a female / male. The ones willing to accept it on freewill, is their choosing. It only becomes ugly, when some activists want to FORCE the opinion of the sane majority, with coercion and blackmail, or say that complete strangers suffer or even suicide just because they studied Biology in highschool.

    I think the video refers to legislations that are being passed one after another throughout the USA and Europe, nowadays.

    It was a long shot anyway... don't you agree? Please give me feedback on this last question.

    I don't understand how in this case applies that of "abusing the system".... I know of cases of people that simulate accidents and pain to be taken to the hospital and be injected strong analgesics....

    Could someone be born in the "wrong body" =( ... or is that they developed extravagant and unreal IDEAS during rearing?

    But if someone "feels" like he is a female, being a male... or "feels" she is a male, being a female... it could do what best suits to it.

    Is latency improving at a comparable rate? Raw bandwidth will continue to improve, probably. But for a consistent experience you need lower latency. Easiest way to get lower latency over a variety of connections is to just serve less data.

    Sure. We'll eventually get there, but the pressure on video will presumably continue proportionately, so any image encoding developed will probably be a video codec spinoff like WebP is.

    Basically I just don't see any possible scenario in which the average user will be sufficiently inconvenienced to lead to the kind of modernization you'd like. You need a lot more THIS JUST ISN'T PRACTICAL AND I'M NOT GONNA PUT UP WITH IT happening.

    Size is still important for web sites to get consistently good load times.

    For the individual, storage getting cheaper means there is no significant demand for better image formats, so whatever better formats there are, why bother adopting them?

    A drastic increase in display resolution is the only thing that comes to mind which would create that demand.

    Seriously go easy on the alcohol. It can fuck you up so badly and make everything even worse. I have a family member going through major health problems and a life of alcoholism has made it much, much worse for him. I'm not really close with him, but I do think this is worth learning from. A fucked liver is not fun to have.

Like I think it's meant to be cutesy with a perky little beach scene front and center, but you also have whole cubic measures of concrete buildings with blatant AC units in the back and a ton of discarded junk keeling over in the waters.

    I guess it symbolizes the Summer Sale as a sort of little oasis on the front page of Steam, but the implication it carries for the rest of the marketplace is uncanny.

    Oof, that price seems a bit too steep for me. I did find a pair of Robot earphones that while they're not the best quality, they're good enough for my ears to prevent them from complaining.

    Also remember when I said I can't hear the really high pitched noise that certain electronics make? Turns out I can! It's my old earphones that can't pick them up!
