DuckTales is a Disney animated series that originally aired from 1987 to 1990 for 100 episodes over four seasons (plus a theatrical animated film) on a variety of syndicated television networks.
The series, based on the Disney Ducks comics by Carl Banks, chronicled the treasure-hunting adventures of Donald Duck's rich "uncle" Scrooge McDuck and his subsequent custody of his three nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie when Donald left for his naval duties.
DuckTales is also the name of a popular 1989 platform video game for the Nintendo Entertainment System made by Capcom based on the series, although sequels were made. A HD remake developed by WayForward Technologies titled DuckTales: Remastered was released in 2013, with voice acting from the most of the surviving original cast at the time.
DuckTales was rebooted in 2017 with a new TV series, which made some changes to the characters' personalities while also making Donald a main character this time around, and has its own art style. It is also much more influenced by the Carl Banks comics than its 1987 predecessor. It has its own tag here: ducktales_(2017).
One more thing, this series has one of the catchiest theme songs of all time, composed by Mark Mueller and performed by Jeff Pescetto. Woo-oo!
