It's really interesting to think that Stegosaurus and Tyrannosaurus were separated by a longer period of time than humans and tyrannosaurus.

Makes me think of who, or what, will be walking over my bones millions of years from now.

The world is older than we tend to think.

It's like one of those dreams.

It's amazing how even billions of years ago our planet was habitable.

But some people think otherwise, this is straight from Twitter: "I can't believe the earth is 2017 years old today."

In all my ultimate concern about the legacy of humanity that will be left behind for future evolved species and investigating alien lifeforms to discover, I fear data records of the likes of Facebook and Twitter will far outlast mankind.

Data records of Facebook and Twitter, having given worldwide access and a public podium to notable individuals of high intelligence, and many, many more complete fucking morons alike, thereby lowering the rough estimate of average human intellect by whomever or whatever discovers and documents the likes of "I can't believe the earth is 2017 years old today."

While compiled, most records that would be dug up first would be from government and institution level servers, most public online records are actually in crisis since even with our modern technology, data stored on discs (magnetic or optical) decay at a slow rate. Even Solid State stored information has a lifespan that can only be restored by copying the information before the data or the device itself decays.

Plus I guarantee tweets like "Did u kno ur age + the year you were born = 2017 HURR!" would be buried by information from political figures, sports figures, and entertainment figures.

Feathers does have a point, but hopefully this becomes a thing ,but for only the important thing, not the tard information.

If it gives you any solace, if human development proceeds exponentially, almost EVERYTHING EVERYONE says and does in 2017 will be by complete fucking morons, at least when compared to future civilizations.

Funny that the idea of Earth being so young based on Christian beliefs was mentioned. What the majority of Christians fail to consider is that as stated in the bible, "the Earth and everything else was created in 7 days and 7 nights," but the concept of days did not yet exist before time itself. A scholar in the community once played with the idea that it was not literally 7 days, but more of the concept of such. Thus, when it refers to "days," it more or less means the span of millions of years across. As someone that believes in Christian idealogy to an extent, I consider this idea interesting at least.

I think it's safe to say no one believes this
